full and rich - typical Cape d'Estaing plums, berries and spicy
shiraz character. These are gently enhanced by the French oak. |

complex and full. The structure features tannins which are fine
and elegant. The wine shows softness, integration and great
length. |

Matured
in a combination of American and French hogsheads and barriques,
approx 80% new, for 16 months. |

Potential |
Although
at this stage the wine is more complex and advanced than previous
vintages, there is no reason why it should not age very well
indeed for 5 - 10 years. |

Season |
Spring
was mild and wet with November being the coolest on record.
This affected flowering and fruit set, producing a very low
crop. Summer was generally warm to hot and dry, apart from a
couple of brief rainy periods during February. The fruit was
picked at 14° ba |
